Legs like a war zone. Have a new wooden bed that I clonk my leg on every time I walk past. They are embarrassing when I wear a skirt. Big bruise on my arm too from door handle. I'm definitely blaming chemo. I suppose we need to be more careful. X

Thanks, iv always bruised easy but these are massive, I may just mentioned peace of mind

Think I read that it can be a side effect. I have a lovely one on my thigh. A result of early morning trip to the loo and coming back into walking to the dressing table. 😬😬😘🌻

It could be a result of the chemo but if you are bruised in various places I would mention it to the team next time you see them or at your next chemo. If you are knocking against stuff that is the answer it is just our blood vessels are weaker when we are on chemo.

Your platelet count might be a bit lower than usual. Don't worry about this. I have always bruised very easily and had low platelet counts on gem/carbo but never low enough to affect the treatment schedule. Mention it at your next clinic, where they will check your blood counts anyway.

Hi, thanks for this, got bloods Monday and seeing specialist nurse so will get checked, I'm already injecting for white cells as I wasn't recovering enough and Gem kept getting delayed so hopefully all will be good xx
