I need help I go to collage and they decided to do a head lice surprise check now and I wear a wig because I've lost my hair in the past and now I'm worried what do I do I don't want to get embarrsed infront of everyone

If I were you I would speak privately with the nurse or whoever is in charge of this programme and let her/him know of your situation and worries. I'm sure you will be treated with with respect and sympathy. Good luck and warm regards Carole 😊

I agree with Carole. I'm sure a private word with the nurse or the principal at your college would solve the issue for you. Maybe a doctor's note if you wanted to have more clout to your case. I understand your concern. I felt really embarrassed when I lost all my hair,didn't even like my husband seeing me at first. Some women look stunning without their hair and hold their heads high and walk tall. Unfortunately I wasn't one of them,too many design faults to carry it off.!!!!Take care of yourself,remember friends love you for who you are not whether you have hair or not xx

Try and speak to the tutor or nurse privately. Wearing a wig is nothing yo be ashamed of...it proves you have courage and inner strength...be positive but speak to someone and explain, anyhow, checks are done privately not in front of others

Firstly, they can't just demand to check everyone's hair...they need to ask permission. Also to avoid the embarrassment of telling a person they have head-lice, they should be performing this examination in a private space anywhere.

Hopefully you will be able to discuss your anxiety in private and be treated with the respect you deserve x

I dont really believe they can do this without your permission and also it has to be done by the nurse in her office so you should have privacy.
