Sue and ascites

I have a reoccur acne after only three months. The pain from the ascites is unbearable. Have tried neurogenic, paracetamol and orator ph but none of them help. Anyone any suggestions

Hi Woody64,

I found the only relief from Ascites was to have the fluid drained or to commence chemo. Don't know what your current situation is but I would be talking to my CNS or Gp. If its that bad I would even present myself at A&E if needs be as no one should have to put up with it, mine when I had it effected my breathing. Good luck hope you get relief asap.

I am going into hospital tomorrow for a drain but the pain over the last two days has been getting steadily worse only found out Monday that the cancer was back. Have tried painkillers but they do t seem to do much. X

Hope you manage to get through another night and your not alone. Like I say if its to much get help go to A&E drains can be put in outside of appointments. I did hear other say that maybe a local hospice could do them. Worth a try. xx

Hi,sorry late reply. Hope you got on ok and feel better.

I was drained 6 times over 6 weeks last summer. It's carp.

I found d one of those wheat bags that you warm in microwave helped relieve pains.

Thanks Sam,just come out of hospital after three days to have the drain. They took of 13 litres. Now have to go for chemo this afternoon. Oh what joy. X
