NHS Action Plan

This is what is behind the headlines. It's the new referral pathway into action in 60 areas. It is interesting that Clinical Commissioning Groups will have their one year survival rates for cancer published. I would like to see this information sub-divided so we know how many Ovarian women survive in each area. Also, the five year data needs publishing too. This should provide a focus and make local health providers more accountable.

Hi Frangipani - more statistics would be most welcome and I agree it would be good if the public had access to the sub-groups. It's obviously collected but not necessarily published.

Do you attend the APPG on Ovarian Cancer at Westminster. The next one, which is Wednesday 4 March, is comparing provision for ovarian cancer by the regions. You might find that really interesting. A few of us from this forum are going along as observers.

Oh I'd love that. Last time we stayed in a Premier Inn in the Docklands. Thinking of staying in Greenwich this time as such good rail link to Westminster though I could still stay for dinner and go back to Hannah's house.

Hannah's away that week so several spare beds! xx Annie
