Hi there, I do not have cancer myself, but am the mother of a dear daughter (DD) who had a rare ovarian cancer and four years later is still here and doing well. Today is her 21st Birthday. I am sure that you will get a lot of support on this site, as indeed I have had. There are lots of knowledgeable people here. Just linking up with ovarian cancer sufferers is good, even if their cancer is different from your cancer. Stay positive, ask loads of questions and look after yourself. Best wishes, Honeyxxx

You must certainly be Celebrating with DD today, Honey. Please wish her a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY from me and may she stay well for years, if not ever.

love to you both,

Solange

Hope you find someone to share a chat with, Helen. Sorry I can't help but wish you all the luck you need.

Best wishes, Solange

I hope also that some one else reading this can give you some help and advice, I wish you and your daughter the best and do ask the consultant questions regarding the treatments currently available. If any of these are familiar we should be able to support with tips to counter act side effects

I have not heard of this type of ovarian cancer before but would like to learn more. I have low grade ovarian cancer it affects 10% of ovarian cancer patients and is more common in younger women

Hi there - I've been to London for a 2nd opinion this year and they have told me that they would class the cancer as low grade serous carcinoma rather than psammocarcinoma - still seems to me that everyone I talk to has been on different treatment plans! How are you at the moment? Helen xxx

HI, I have just come across your post. Sorry to hear about . Chtyour diagnosis but I hope your treatment is going well. I am a lot older than you 66 but live in Scarborough perhaps we are under the sameconsultant. I had my chemo in Scarborough and the staff are great , I go for my MRI,s to Hull which is a bit of a pain. Overall, I feel well cared for. Chris

Hi Chris and thanks for your message. I never see anybody at Scarborough..... I always have to go through to Castle Hill....my consultant is Dr Bozas. How are things with you......are you still having treatment ? I didn't have any chemo....I have a scan every six months and take Tamoxifen daily. Feeling well at the moment. Look forward to chatting some more with you xx
