Anyone take Caelyx?
What are the side effects?
How did you handle it?
Worse than other chemos? Or no?

Hi there
I was on Caelyx earlier this year it wasn!t too bad . I got indigestion but got round this by eating little and often. The one thing to watch with Caelyx is your temperature and white blood cell count.Good luck with your treatment and all the very best Fionaxx
Hi there
Oh sorry forgot to add that onc told me i might lose some hair/hair thinning but i did not lose any hairat all so that was a positive !

I am on single dose caelyx - now on my second dose . . Not finding it too bad. The usual fatigue ; indigestion and my hair is shedding dramatically . I think I might lose it completely. Ca 125 had continued to rise after 1st dose . FBCs all Ok except for the neutrophils . I had to repeat the neutrophils test . It had then risen sufficiently in 24 hours for me to be treated . This clearly will continue to be a problem
Hi. I had Caelyx last year. It gave me a sore mouth mid cycle each time, but the mouthwash they gave me helped. My hair was unaffected. All the best.
Hi I had caelyx and carboplatin earlier this year. Side effects were not too bad, sore mouth, dry skin and I lost almost all my hair ( but it was fine and thin to start with). My bloods were too low almost every time I was due for chemo so it took longer to complete the course than expected, but the results were excellent
Good luck

I had single agent Caelyx earlier this year. One treatment every 4 weeks. I had swollen lips and sore mouth after the first cycle & just before the second, which was then delayed by a week. After that I sailed through it. Loved the regime, it gave me lots of freedom in between treatments. Unfortunately, the cancer loved it too, and the disease was progressing by interim scan! Topotecan, 3rd line chemo has checked the disease this time.
Wishing you every success with it Maureen
PS no hair loss or thinning
