Hi charleee, I had caelyx as my second line treatment and found that I didn't need to shave my underarms, legs or bikini line ( bonus) the hair on my head did thin out but not by very much so hopefully yours won't to. K x

Hi, I had Caelyx as 3rd line and lost all my hair. So can go both ways.. Xx

As a general rule of thumb you shouldnt lose your hair but it may thin.....sandra had Caelyx twice (3rd line, with carbo, 6th line single agent) it never thinned but she did have a thick head of hair. Xx paul

Thanks girls, looks like ill wait and see but I do have thick hair so maybe wont need the wig.? Take care x

I had Caelyx 3rd line as single agent and didn't loose my hair. Body hair never returned after loosing it to taxol 1st line. Having Etoposide 4th line now and hair coming out quite rapidly x

I too am did not respond to carbo only this time, was diagnosed 3a in 2007, 6 years remission after total histo and 6 rounds of carboplatin. Found in December had returned with mass in pelvis, liver and lung lesions. Had 3 lots of carboplatin 4 weeks apart and ct showed pelvic mass reduction but liver lesions worse so started 4 weekly caelyx, my second one yesterday and hair thinning and constipation my worst symtoms. Scan after 3rd lot so fingers crossed. It is so scarey as I had no symptoms and my onc was going to discharge me December but routine lft at gp found it. Hope all goes well for you xxx
