Help, I'm panicking. The scan in January was normal so how can this jump so far. I can't speak to anyone today like my oncologist and I'm petrified. As it's moving so fast is the outlook bad? I'm just falling part now.

Just posting a quick reply just in case there's time to ring the nurse-led line at Ovacome. i think they operate it 9 to 5. I know they'd be able to give you some feedback so hopefully you can feel a bit reassured. xxx Annie

Yes, ring the nurse if you can it's 0845 371 0554. However, CA125 can shoot up if you have an infection. It doesn't necessarily mean something bad

Good luck

Hi, I know how you feel my ca 125 has been rising dramatically from 82 to 700 since January however on a pt scan two weeks ago there is no active cancer. My oncologist can't really explain why it's rising but she is happy that it is not the cancer. I agree it is scary and you need to talk but try not to worry, lol, shame I'm not so good at taking advice as giving it. Keep smiling.

Hope you don't mind me asking but did you need treatment to get to a fine place? or has the CA125 just gone down by itself. I am really pleased to hear you are fine as it gives hope to others. Thanks JacJac xx

Hi, I needed to have cervix, fallopian tubes, ovaries.omentum, bit of stomach and bit of bowel removed, but the surgeon I had was a genious and removed it all. I was a stage three and receiving pallative care from McMillan nurse. Please don't fall apart. I had an epidural put into my back (completely painless) before surgery for pain relief. Op was on Friday I was home again on Tuesday, most were home quicker than I, but I took a chest infection. No probelms from surgery and healed really well. Its so hard to be in the place you are now. The shock of being told , I was being treated for a kidney infection and it was only blood tests and scan that showed up the cause. Hope it all goes well for you, but feel free to get in touch when ever you need to. W
