I have ovarian cysts and they are so bad that I look 6 months pregnant. My lower stomach and lower back hurt. The top of my stomach hurts. My right shoulder around theback hurts. I have to pee all the time. I feel nauses and I feel full all the time. I feel tired all the time too.my stomach and back hurts like its a constent contraction and I am feeling pressure in my lower area. It hurts when I have intercourse. I went to the doctor and she took my blood and said I have to have an ultrasound and they don't do them there. I have to go where it is $150 dollars and go see my obgyn because my blood was abnormal. I do not have the money for all this. I am scared. Here is a pic of me 3 days ago at the hospital. I am a small woman but here you can see how big my stomach has gotten. I need some advice bad. Thank you.

Hi! What a worry for you. I haven't got any detailed info on how the system works in the US but if you look on ovacome.org.uk there is a BEAT ovarian cancer with Ovacome option. You can look on the symptom tracker there and record symptoms over the course of a couple of weeks, then print them out to take to your next appointment with the doctor or Gynae specialist. There is a blood of test called CA125. Have you had this? It's not always accurate though. Have a look on the Ovacome website, there may be some info on there to help you to have the problem investigated properly.

Good luck

Love Wendy xx

I am sorry I am not much help, you might be better going on an American ovarian cancer forum there is one called Inspire I think.

Sorry to hear about your problems I hope you get it sorted soon love x G

Yes there is an American site called Inspire....I hope you get sorted out as soon as possible. Ambyboo....I'm pretty sure the People who run the US site will point you in the right direction...good luck to you and I hope you get checked out soon x

I am so sorry to hear of your problems. Is there not a Charity that can help you with the cost of an Ultrasound. We take everything for granted in the UK without a thought for cost. You must be so worried. I really hope you get the help you need and quickly even just to put your mind at rest. My thoughts are with you and please let us know how you get on.

First let me say I am sorry. I am from the US. Check out the whatnext.com site. There is a resources tab at the top of the page. This site supports all cancers and I know folks will be there for you. Also contact the American cancer society. There is a little at whatnext. Hang in there. I know this is all scary. Do you have a friend or family member that can go to appointments with you? You need the support.
