Wondering how is Heffmeister?

I've been contacted from the USA by a fellow OC patient who had made online friends with and was asking about Heffmeister. I know she posted on this site a couple of months ago and was very ill but does anyone know how she is?

Dear Hetty,

I have been contacted too, so I sent her a PM yesterday, Claire was actually last on a month ago....she did comment then on the loss of Greybadger...she didn't post that often and mostly every couple of months, so I have not heard anything yet... but I assumed she was spending time with her girls and until we hear otherwise we can't read anything into it......There might be someone on here that knows though.

I think quite a few of us have been wondering how she is. I had a message too. It just goes to show how much care there is on this site and in the USA for friends who might be going through rough times. xxx

I have a lot of friends on Inspire - her special friend there (ktfox) has updated her post to say that Claire has been discharged from hospital care and is now on hospice care, which is being given to her at home. There has been no news since then, but many people have sent their best wishes & said prayers for her. I am really sorry to have to share this news with you, but Heffmeister/Claire had a lot of friends on both sites - I think she posted most on Inspire because her initial diagnosis is so rare and so she found more women with the same diagnosis there.
