Anyone who had Ovarian Cancer Stage 1A Grade 1 please communicate

I had above removed this August past thank God and I pray for no cancer recurrence D.V.

I have not been granted a consultation with medical oncologist

NO TREATMENT of any sort

NO ONCOLOGIST REVIEW

I shall have Gynaecological 3-monthly reviews ( physical exams.)for 3 years and 6-monthly, I think, after that for 2years

Has anyone had this experience please and I pray all are doing well

Hi. My situation is rather different to yours but it may help in some way. My diagnosis was stage 1c - elevated from 1a to 1c as they spilt the cyst on removal. I had to have a total hysterectomy followed by 6 rounds of chemo. My histology was clear following the hysterectomy but I was told that chemo was needed as a 'mop up' I n9w have 3 monthly appointments with my oncologist and yearly CT scans. I am currently awaiting the results of my 12 month CT scan. As my cancer was mucinous, my CA125 results were never elevated - hence the scan.

Have they not suggested doing your bloods every 3 months?

Your diagnosis is a very good one and I'm sure the doctors would refer you to an oncologist if they were concerned. Good luck.

I thank you for your reply. My membrane ruptured in a thin part after being taken out. Still no offer of chemo.

Histology said my ovarian cancer was endometrioid , a sub-section of epithelalian ovarian cancer.

No blood tests because my CA125 was normal (22) at the outset.

Stage 1 OV can return normal CA125 result.
