Abnormal Bleeding

Good morning everyone. I am 16 years old and had my first period at the age of 12. It was always extremely regular, 28 days on the dot and it would last 5 days. I have always had horrible cramps for pretty much the whole 5 days of my period. In the last 4 months I've noticed really weird changes to my menstrual cycle.

First of all my period started coming only every 35-39 days.

And when it came it would sometimes last only 2 days or 8 days.

The awful pain I had gotten used to also went away. It's great but also weird. I barely get period cramps anymore. However, I get this other pain that is around pretty much all the time. It is a dull sometimes sharp pain in my lower abdomen. Around where I would get cramps but the pain feels different and it is around even when I'm not on my period.

I also get my period twice a month sometimes which is really weird. Like right now I'm on my period and I got it 2 weeks after it ended. Also, it is not going away. I've had it for 8 days and the bleeding comes and goes...

I am anemic and so weak all the time.

And now I also am nauseated all the time and can barely eat anything. I am loosing weight but my abdomen is super bloated. It looks like I'm 4 months pregnant and I'm a virgin so that's not an option.

I am also having UTI like symptoms that come and go. I feel like I have to pee every 5 minutes and it hurts to pee. Then the next day it goes away. This is a bit TMI and gross but I have pain inside my vagina. Like the opening. Not my urethra but my vagina. It doesn't ever go away. It hurts and it's really annoying. I don't know what this is just that it is so annoying and I have been to the hospital about the abdominal pain and nausea but they sent me home saying it's just a stomach bug. But it's not going away... any ways, I have talked to my mom about this and I'm going to the gynecologist at the end of the month. I just want to see if anyone else has had something similar. I couldn't help myself but to google search it and it comes up as ovarian cancer (which I am a risk factor for because of diabetes and my family history of breast cancer) and endometriosis. Thanks for your input ahead of time.

Hi there, unfortunately we do not give medical advise on this forum, If you are worried I would suggest you go and speak to the nurse in your family doctors practice or your gp.

see your dr.....if necessary before the end of the month...or your school nurse if you are still at school. Do continue to inform/seek your mum's advice. People will have had all sorts of symptoms and the answer always is to get it checked out.....good luck hope it improves soon x

You poor thing- you definitely have something going on but it could be many different things. I would suggest you move up your appointment with your gyno. The sooner you are seen, hopefully the sooner you can get to the bottom of this and get some relief. Don't let them dismiss this until they have clear answers for you. But also don't panic. It really could be a variety of things.

Lots of love to you! 🌸🌼🌺
