I was diagnosed with osteopenia 4 years ago and am currently undergoing the usual treatment.
I grew up in the 1950's on the Isle de Montreal in a small village in the outskirts of Montreal, Baie D'Urfe. Our drinking water came from a well in the front garden (quite civilised with an electric pump and all!).
However, Isle de Montreal was a volcanic bulge many thousands of years ago resulting in the magma coming close to the surface. This magma contains a lot of Florine which enters the ground water and the water I drank in my pre-teen days.
I have found it difficult to find out much information relating to this drinking water that might have a bearing on my osteopenia. Plenty of guff from the dental profession that seems to drown out any of the information I am looking for. ( I have to admit, I have had little tooth decay but lost four molars through fracturing down the middle of the teeth.)
Is anybody able to throw any light on overdosing (if that is what has happened) on fluoride?
Thanks in advance, Tom.
