Hi 2poodles,

I have had two zolendronate infusions so far and it has done its job. It has rebalance my bone activities as in the osteoblasts and the osteoclasts…The calcium tablets helps as well to stabilise my osteoporosis which had a T-score of minus 3.

I didn’t experience much side-effects apart from feeling tired and a bit sleepy after. So it was a good excuse to get back to bed and have a rest and a quiet time 🤣

I hope my experience answers your question !

Wishing you well,

Warm regards,

MLT

I have had 3 Zolendronic annual infusions and they helped tremendously. Now living in France and no treatment yet and conditions have definitely worsened. Waiting for specialist treatment. Hoping that I can go back on the infusions.

Yes I have been on it since chemo, it is time limited! I used to get hot at night but this seems to have lessened, other than that I have no side effects.

Had my 1st Reclast IV in March. No side effects except fatigue. Did well! Even though my Rheumy didn’t give me prep instructions, I found great tips to take Claritin and Tylenol prior to IV, day of, and couple days after. Also, increase Calcium and Vitamin D 3 as well as staying hydrated. I asked nurse for slow IV so took 30 minutes. Best wishes.
