I don’t know how you register for it, but there is a REMS event in MA next month sponsored by the Central Carolina Orthopaedic Associates and Kimberly Zambito MD. they have a Facebook page, but since I do not have a FB account, I can’t link it here. It is April 27-29 in Dedham.
Searching REMS and MA I came up with a link to Susan Brown's better bones website. Looks like there are clinics in Dedham (as HappyGranny55) mentioned and also in West Stockbridge, 1-3 May. Hope you find somethng that works for you.
I drove to see Dr. Bush of Central Carolina Orthopedics, it was a very good experience dealing with him. He reviewed my DEXA scan and noted the errors in it. The REMS test was easy, just a regular ultrasound with the Echolight software. Medicare covered the office visit cost but not the REMS scan. Dr. Bush's office charged $150 for the scan. If you can't participate in the MA event, Dr. Zambito, who is part of the MA event, is based in PA I believe. That may be the closest you can get. Or if you want a medical vacation, fly into Raleigh and drive a short ways to Dr. Bush's office. Then do vacation stuff. You can contact the manufacturer of the ultrasound to ask if there is a machine closer to you: echolightmedical.com/usa-of...
So helpful to hear of your experience. I am thinking of traveling to one or the other. I have some family not too far. I appreciate your details and the cost info.
