Does anybody have any experience with Ostinal, Osaplex or Bonexcin? I am looking at alternatives for my osteoporosis but am leery about spending money on these supplements. Thank you!

Never heard of any of these supplements before. However it looks like Osaplex may be Vitamin K2 plus other things. Vitamin K2 is very important for bone health as it directs calcium to the bones where it belongs. You can probably get it quite easily from local stores, health food stores if not pharmacies, for a decent price. The other important vitamin is, of course, Vitamin D3, and you can either get that with K2, as it seems to be inOsaplex, or as a separate supplement. With separate supplements it is easier to control your dosage, but convenience and cost are also worth considering as you decide.

One thing to know is magnesium is also important for bone health, but if you are taking a calcium supplement you should probably add a magnesium supplement as well, but take it at a different time. Calcium tends to prevent proper absorption of a number of supplements (iron is another one) and some medications, so it's a good idea to take any calcium supplement at a different time. I've finally found lunchtime and near bedtime with a small snack work for me. The bedtime one also helps with sleep! Basically it's up to you which calcium supplement you want to take. The micronutrients are important but most of them are going to be in a balanced diet anyway. Some types of calcium are more easily absorbed than others, however, so that's something to look out for. I've heard that in general calcium is absorbed well with something like yoghurt, or with some citrus.
