Gabapentin and bone loss? Myth or truth?

Does anyone know if Gabapentin has been concluded to contribute to bone loss or not? I've been reading conflicting reports.

I've been on them for years and I think it's why I got Osteoporosis that and other things

Hi Dove111, there are a number of anticonvulsant medicines that can cause bone loss. We list some of them here (gabapentin is not among them, but our list is not necessarily comprehensive): americanbonehealth.org/bone...

Some of these medicines affect how your body uses vitamin D. You might ask your health care provider about potential bone loss as a side effect and what dose of vitamin D you should take.
