Hi pfm250, I don't know of any specific risk.
Are you taking any medications for your osteoporosis? If so, be sure to mention this to your referring dentist and your orthodontist before you schedule a procedure.
There is a class of osteoporosis medicines called bisphosphonates that could increase your risk of complications from dental work -- but that's root canals, tooth extractions etc., not braces. Read more about that here, if you're interested: americanbonehealth.org/medi...
