Omeprazole 20mg once a day

Hello,

I was prescribed a 90 day prescription for Omeprazole to take 1x day for 90 days.

Has anybody warned off of a similar 90 day prescription? How did you wean off?

I'm not sure why you want to wean off it. If you've had a doctor advise you need it, you can take it until the course finishes. If you have other underlying triggers that prompt acid reflux you would have 90 days to plan how you address them.

Hi, you may find you don't suffer with rebound acid after taking Omeprazole for only 90 days, I think it's worse when you try to stop after being on them longer term (years, unfortunately from my own experience). If you do, however, you could try gradually reducing the tablets to one every other day and gradually spacing them out over several weeks. Hope they work for you.
