Cookery books

My wife has a sliding hiatus hernia and associated GERD.She really struggles with a lot of food and we've been looking around for inspiration for GERD friendly meals. Added restriction is that she's vegetarian.

I've really struggled to find any cookery books written in the UK and wondered if anyone had some recommendations? The only ones I've found are American, with the accompanying terminology, measurements, temperatures etc.

Any help would be massively appreciated as I hate seeing her suffer like she is.

Thanks all.

I am in the UK and have just started an acid free diet from the book (USA) by Dr Jonathan Aviv called The Acid Watcher Diet. Early days but I am sleeping better and not so sore. I have struggled since May with the effects of what I now realise is acid causing asthma, earaches, tinnitus, sore throat, cough, nasal inflammation and post-nasal drip. Weaning off steroids and high-dose PPIs slowly, so hope this diet will help. Good luck.
