Hello. I had a suspected ulcer years ago after some epigastric pain and was put on 20g omeprazole daily. Not been too bad in general but seem to have started having flare up problems in the last year and I’m not sure what’s connected. My dr said to double my omeprazole dose when flaring up. 2 months ago I had a lot of joint pain in my hands and wrists that lasted a couple of weeks and gradually got better. Last week my throat was getting very sore which I take as a sign of too much acid so upped my omeprazole dose. Yesterday morning I started getting a sharp pain under my left rib, worried it was a heart attack at first but presumably not. It spread to one shoulder and now both shoulders are very stiff and sore and I can’t turn my neck without pain. Hurts constantly, worse when sitting still, turning over in bed. Does this sound like an acid reflux problem? I’ve written to my dr but don’t expect to hear back anytime soon. Thanks for any info.

Did you ever find out answers to the problems you are facing?? I get pains like this too. I'm taking Pantoprazole 20mg. My Dr. Wants me to go off of it here soon. I'm kinda reluctant. But, I've been exercising more & am going to watch my diet close.
