Can anyone help me?!! My daughter has been sent home from school as a teacher in her bubble has tested positive for covid. She now has to isolate for 14 days. She sees her dad every other weekend, however I can not see anywhere in the guidance that she can or cannot stay with him during this time. Can anyone help me??!!

Can my daughter see her dad when self isolating?
Hi I hope everything is ok and your is free from this virus. I know this can be a worrying time but the best thing you can do is protect you and your family. Can the school give you any advice? It may be worth giving the just one number a call or Maybe 119 can support with a better answer.
I'm not sure 100% on this situation this is such a grey area as you are allowed to go about your business even though she is having to isolate which to me makes no sense as if she is carrying the virus you then maybe too. but I have a friend who had the same and her daughter had to isolate. She knew of friends that the daughters were at their fathers when they were told to isolate and haven't been allowed home. So I would think that this would be a no. Looking at Google it says that if your daughter goes to her dad's she is then putting him at risk of infection.
There are so Many factors as he may be your child care support and that may mean a loop hole but I would then suggest others would have to isolate after in case of infection.
If it's possible I would avoid sending her I know that maybe hard but you are protecting everyone.
I hope that makes sense. Not sure if it's helped of raised more questions
Would love to hear if you find out any information on this. And love to know that your all ok after isolation.
Take care
Hi! Thanks for your reply! I contacted the school and they confirmed that she has to stay at home (with me) and is not allowed to leave the house.
So she is unable to visit her dad until the end of her isolation.
She is well, had very limited contact with the teacher so fingers crossed she stays well so can enjoy her Christmas!
