School reception places

Does anyone know of when you find out when you find out what school your child gets and what you do if you don’t get one?

I wondered what everyone’s criteria was when deciding which school? What you liked/put you off??

April 16th is national offer day.

We simply went for the closest school which had a decent reputation.

Little T, went to school last year and we didn't like the school that was closest, as it was a village school, that was cute but the bigger school had interactive whiteboards and seemed more advanced.

I knw someone else who loved the little school life.

I 'd like to see what other peoples criteria.

There’s a couple of different schools, there’s a small one, which is cute that I thought would be our first choice because I like the idea of a little school. But then I saw a bigger school which seemed to have more stuff for the kids, like computers and a focus on that sort of stuff and interactive whiteboards being used etc.
