So am wondering if there are any charities out there that could help me with getting toys for my baby for Christmas? It’s her first Christmas and money is so tight we can’t afford to get her anything and it’s getting me down that she won’t have anything from us to open I know she won’t know / care but I do. I feel so ashamed to be asking for this type of help.
We’re not entitled to any form of benefits as on paper my husband earns too much but once we’ve paid out all our bills we have very little left to live off,

My kids never cared about presents when little. We wrapped up a box and filled with bubble wrap etc.
I know it’s nice though. You can wrap up whisks and pine cones, hair brushes, stuff to make, what at my nursery called “treasure baskets”. Have you seen them??
I know families who can be referred to the food bank(some have jobs etc), you can then use the money you save on food to put towards presents.
Please try not to feel guilty as the last poster suggested making a treasure basket is such a good idea and kids really do love them, also keep an eye on the free pages on social media as people often put toys and baby bits on there that you can wrap up for her! She really is too young to remember right now so just enjoy your Christmas as a family ❤️
