Children's Feelings

To be honest I'm not sure I gauge teenager's feelings that well and the question has made me think more about the non verbal signs. Slamming doors, ignoring me, overreacting, picking an argument are all signs quite often of an external anxiety - usually at school. I let them vent them and then when they are in a good mood ask if they want to talk about it.
