Free entertainment - play parks, village ponds and ducks, beach, church playgroup, going to friends' houses for play dates. Not quite free, but very supportive, was a post natal group put together at the local surgery - we decided to meet up once per week in the early years to swim and continued until the kids went to school. It was very supportive.
