As the end of my chemo radiation is in sight I have been wondering about treating myself to a break at some sort of health retreat or spa that includes helping cancer patients. Just wondering if anyone has any experience or recommendations? It would be nice to have something pleasant to look forward to after feeling like shite for nearly three months!

Where do you live? I have been to Ragdale Hall near Melton Mowbray several times. It is fantastic. They take any medical conditions into account when offering treatments. It is such a relaxing place with lovely facilities. Great that you are coming to the end of your treatment - enjoy every moment you can. (14 years since mine)

Thank you. Exactly the sort of rec I was looking for. Place doesn’t matter, I live in France and would combine a health spa visit with a friends visit. May I ask, did you only have chemo radiation or did surgery follow? Great that you are 14 years on

I had surgery only, I know there are many on here who had chemo radiation who might be able to answer any queries you might have related to that. Can I also recommend an article by Dr Peter Harvey about recovery from cancer called 'After the treatment finishes.' It's a long article but it is so relevant to how we feel after having had cancer. It certainly helped me understand the recovery process we need to go through. Best wishes
