This is such a useful site in every way. It’s so good to read that so many are doing well after surgery. Is there anyone for whom surgery was not an option and who are doing well after chemo radiation I am female and 76 years old. I have return of cancer after two years.
thank you

So sorry to hear it has returned. I can’t really help because I was the opposite to you in that I only had surgery with no other treatment but I wish you luck. Best Wishes, James.
Thank you ccfc. I keep my fingers crossed. Since having brachytherapy in summertime, I have had swallowing problems which I am hoping will resolve. Thank you for good wishes
Not me, but a near neighbour was deemed unsuitable for surgery and had chemo radiation. He survived more than 10 years and had a good quality of life. You are older than he was, therefore hopefully the cancer will progress more slowly and, with treatment, you will live a long time.
hi Spikey. I am hoping, like your neighbour to get more time. I’m aware that surgery is the best chance of survival in spite of the severity of the procedure and the difficult recovery. But it is what it is and ni must go with the flow ant Hope treatment will slow things down. Thank you
Hi Brett. I’m so glad you’re doing ok. I’m sorry it recurred for you. So difficult after all you went through with surgery and recovery. I hope you continue to do well. Thank you
