Pain and shortness of breath gut pressure

Hi everyone I suffer from copious mucus but no one really seems to know where it comes from as I have a few problems I have jackhammer esophogus, bronchiectasis, emphysema, all of a sudden I can barely breathe when I move it’s as if someone is stood on my gut the soft bit under the arch of my sternum , yet when I sit or lay breathing is ok. It I can still feel the pressure it’s as if I have a blockage anyone else suffered similar I also have really bad pnd any suggestions grateful.

Hi I have Just been to see my Speech Therapist and she mentioned that Dairy products can cause excess mucus

Hi Liz, thanks for replying yes I’ve been down that avenue and stopping dairy didn’t help if anything milk soothes the esophogus and helps bring up sticky stubborn mucus I’m having a nightmare with it. Thanks

I was having exact same symptoms, saw a gastro, was put on FODMAP DIET symptoms seem to be easing, and she told me to change to Lactose free milk, this helps too.
