Hi, I’m having such horrendous terrifying times trying to get the mucus go up or down all my esophogus right to the back of my throat keeps on getting so blocked, I’m on carbocystien to thin the mucus , nasal rinse for sinus problems apparently I have jackhammer esophogus, I take panteprazole max dose movecol two or three times a day, I can barely breath it’s now happening every couple of hours, I’m eating small amounts as it’s so much worse when I’ve eaten, the only thing that relieves the pressure it is if I lay on my side .... I’m at my wits end nervous wreck any suggestions however small. Thanks
Carol

I am experiencing the exact same thing as you. I use a nebulizer and 2 inhalers when this happens. Started when I woke up choking on stomach acid. Since then the problem is near constand. It feels like a hockey puck is lodged in my throat. For me it is all caused by severe gerr. Surgery on my eshogus via fpnissan fundelication,
I feel for you. It's a horrible experience. I suspect we (all of us) experience this to different extents.
I'm on Omeprazole 40mg twice daily to help stop reflux but it's not always effective.
I frequently (once a week wake up experiencing this, normally at 0230-ish) and find that I am able to clear it (sometimes by just bring it up, sometimes by "vomiting").... depending on when I wake up (as it's become a major problem or, when I wake up because it's going to be a problem) I can drink a few mouthfuls of diet coke and sit upright for 15 - 30 minutes it sometimes helps me to break it up.......
