Hello has anyone on here had Linx surgery and how would I qualify as a private patient? I had negative ph and endoscopy but the pain is awful and my asthma, throat and PND is horrendous I am maxed up on drugs and I would go under the knife tomorrow.

Is your HH diagnosed as lesser or more?

Hi Ive got nothing they can find I did have lots of visible reflux when I had a camera down my nose. Going to have 24 ph again as they suspect its non acid reflux causing problems, it must be as I take enough PPI and antacids to neutralise the Sarsons factory. The PPIs etc do help but they make things just about bearable. I need my life back.

Sounds like lax cardiac and HH. Because the time you go for inserting nasal tube for 24hr hr test, body adapts to the change and typical acid reflux shows as non acid reflux. My own experience.

I have had direct comms with LINX company and authorised surgeons, but I was too late for that. Can I bother you by asking to search LINX in this forum and take a read on it please?

For a LINX to be effective the HH has to be of a lesser grade. As an alternative nissen fundoplication is also possibility for higher of HH.

I don't buy that there is no HH, my LES was faulty and not working how it should have been. Most of the times when you do long fast and go for endoscopy even acid is Not there to show reflux. When the gas is pumped into stomach that can show whether stomach LES can retain the air.

Always know that if the symptoms are present then there are always root cause/s, potentially there has been poor diagnosis.

Hi there I agree Ive been really fobbed off only after 3 years and my persistence is there now talk of non acid reflux my next endorse will be my 4th the only think that picked up reflux was the ent camera down my nose. I saw the video lots of bubbles all sound my vocal chords. I have severe reflux pain, burping etc and nasal issues. Even water gives me reflux! Its really got me down and the attitude of the doctors has not helped. I also have asthma and my inhalers now give me reflux too. I'm not in a good place I think Surgery is my only option.

There is a scientific paper that evaluates Linx:

But, as with everything, bear in mind that these papers are not writing for patients, and that one should always have a proper, qualified diagnostic process before a decision is made in relation to what solution can be considered, rather than the other way round.
