When you sleep at night, do you sleep with your head and shoulders propped up? This might help. I think you should return to your surgeon for advice, and then, if necessary, go for a second opinion, to which everyone is entitled on the NHS.
It is possible that these might be some other cause of the reflux that repair of the hiatus hernia (if successful) has not sorted out.
Try Gaviscon Advance at night.
I'm having that gaviscon advance and I try to sleep with my head up but nothing helps I change my diet aswell
I wonder if it is established what the cause of the pain actually is? Is it the original problem that has not gone away; or might it be that there has been some effect on the nerve system as the result of the surgery?
It was there always before the surgery and after the surgery aswell its worse in morning but I'm still having lump in throat acid refluxe and this pain I lost my sleep aswell I only manage to sleep two hours
Sorry to hear this problem. There may well be a technical medical answer that the professional can provide somewhere, but I cannot think of anything to suggest other than to try some alternative therapy that might help against stress and to help relaxation and promote sleep. But I am not suggesting that this would be the complete answer.
Thanks alan
