Hi , now 30 months on from Opertion , things have settled down eating and reflux.

Now the new problem . Had a heart attack 2 weeks ago , stent fitted . Now building up strength again .

Has anyone had the similar combination ?

We do have other kinds of medical troubles that hit us, and I do hope you recover OK. I suspect that the regime for recovering from your heart attack will take precedence exercise-wise, but that your post -oesophagectomy situation will take precedence re your eating /diet regime.

It would be worth mentioning that you will not necessarily absorb medication as well as other patients (it may have to be given in liquid form for instance).

I think I would consult a specialist Upper GI dietician about the diet in view of your heart problem. I dare say that the issues will not be very much different from, say, a diabetic who has a heart attack, perhaps? The weight issue with food may not be the same for you as for others, for instance.
