Hi
Yes me! I’ve always been a bit anxious and had a bit of ocd but since going through menopause it suddenly got much worse a couple of years ago following a nightmare. I’ve had CBT and I’ve learnt so much about how it all works but still struggling. I’ve recently wondered if it’s related to hormones and menopause and I’m currently considering hrt. do you mind me asking do you take it?
Mine certainly flared up during the menopause, and it's difficult to say how much was the menopause and how much was the other stuff going on in my life.
I have to say that I had few menopausal symptoms. No hot flushes or sweats, my periods just stopped. But my OCD did get worse.
I haven't taken HRT though I did start taking a calcium supplement and I now take a vitamin D capsule each day.
No I’m not taking it a the moment but when I see my consultant 1 am going to as her about it.
Urggh, Iv'e got all that to look forward to, perimenopausal has recently raised it's sneaky head!
I've got this to look forward too as well, the women at my work joked the other day, I have this to look forward to, my reply was I hope with the fact I'm already mad I'll not notice. I know OCD is no joking matter, but I find for me and my situation, I can get away m it, plus I also like the fact people have asked me what it's like, and then they have a bit of knowledge of what it's like for a sufferer.
I hope the menopause goes easy on you!
