My ocd only came after my anxiety attack.I know it’s a flight of fight response to protect you from anything dangerous, so when you have ocd does your mind become obsessed about your fears and locks on to them? Because I’ve been on Prozac and it went away. Then I was able to concentrate on other things.I stupidly detoxed my body and didn’t know the detox drink would kill my serotonin and Prozac out my system. So I’m going threw it all again. Taking my Prozac as normal. My doctor said my intrusive thinking will subside again I just got to be patient.Someone anyone please help.

I can only say from my experience that my intrusive thoughts came about when my anxiety was the highest it's ever been. I never had the looping thoughts constantly running through my brain before that. I had thoughts before like anyone else just not repetitive!! Anxiety causes all kinds of ugly thoughts and fears. If those thoughts are something we fear, I do believe they will stick. Atleast thats what happened with me. I'm not an expert, but I have experienced this!! But it does get better!! And you have recovered from this before as well.
Your Dr has reassured you that your medication will kick in and you will be ok, I would trust in them. Try not to focus on the detox and serotonin. Try and focus on other things if you can. Maybe a hobby, or just a step outside
Take Care
It does take a few weeks for an antidepressant to kick in. There isn't a short cut, but it appears that Prozac suits you so you should start to feel better.
Your doctor is not far off the truth. If Prozac worked before, it should work again - just dont wash it off with other medication or Detox. Give Prozac some time to start working again -m 14-21 days some say, some say up to 28 days . I say its up t the the patient himself. we are all different.
Looking forward to when you will be better helps
Cheers
Max.
OCD certainly locks onto your fears and this can result in overwhelming physical symptoms in response to the intrusive thoughts
