Wow, I'm y telling doctor I have so much pain from OA, and and told to take nsaids that upset my stomachs after taking them for years for pain But, on TV they have an injection for cats with OA for pain. WTF?Can't no one find something for humans to help with pain? I just don't understand this world anymore.

The doc should be prescribing Omeprazole or similar to help protect your stomach if you’re on NSAIDs.

Have you had a look it the website of Arthritis Action? Lots of information there. That’s where my rheumatologist told me to go for information.

If you don’t already, you need to exercise so that your muscles can support your joints, and to take good care of your diet (lots of vegetables).

As far as pain relief goes, your pharmacist might have some hints for you. The trouble with human pain relief is that we get easily addicted to the strong ones, whereas we assume cat don’t!!

Already take Omeprazole, but the more nsaids you take.... Liver and kidneys don't like it! Medicare in the states cover very little for OA so it is out of pocket if you have it and nothing can be done if you don't.

I hadn’t appreciated you’re in the US. Pharmacists won’t I think help you but there are herbalists who might. The issue in the US as I understand is that the medical community is now reluctant to prescribe strong painkillers because of fear of being sued. Though I may be wrong

This is true so they let everyone be in horrible pain no matter what. Not there works I remember.

Yes, I get cortisone shots, but they don't do much for pain.

That’s true, they don’t for me either but I thought they might help some other people

My go to medication for OA in the early days was Naproxen and Co-Codamol ( Tylenol 4 I think for you ) they were/ are the only things that worked for me. I can't take NSAIDS now due to other medication but still use Co-Codamol. Been on it for around thirty plus years and not addicted. My biggest problem was knees and after joint replacement life became very much easier.
