What is this sacred distillation?

An inner river of exploration….embodying these inner streams within…

The pathway today we explore?

Cerebro-spinal fluid (CSF):

*is a clear, colourless liquid, originating in the third ventricle in the brain and flowing down to the sacrum

*is a central integrating highway for movement - consider all that branches from your spine

*emanates from the third ventricle in the brain. The raison d’etre for this third ventricle is to produce this fluid, that is its main function

*from a yogic/esoteric/spiritual perspective, this is the same location as third eye (ajna), known spiritually too as the Crystal Palace.

*Pineal gland sits at the back and the pituitary gland at the front

*150 mls CSF currently circulating in your body, a sacred distillation of blood plasma

*Each person (yes, you!) makes between 450-600 mls CSF daily

*Continual sacred distillation from our blood plasma renewing circa 3-4 x in a 24 hour period.

*Contains neurotransmitters and is important medium for signalling

*Highly sensitive to motion, vibrations, nutrient intake

*We experience this fluid from our Mother. It originates from the amniotic fluid which surrounds us as we unfold and become a human

Movement that is gentle and connected, helps locate this feeling of CSF.

*A gentle swaying in the body, like a lubricated piece of sea-kelp in the ocean forest

*A connection with the ebb and flow of your breath - this natural relationship that is always there.

*A clearer channel for meditation and contemplation - being the Crystal Palace within or also known as the Cave of Brahma - innner labyrinths open us up to releasing long held tension, freedom of movement and ease of motion.

Motion is lotion….mmmm.

With this sunny September - let yourself open up the gateways within to something new and clear. A sense of wonder and awe for this CSF within.

Grateful to the work of Tara Judelle and Dr Mauro Zappaterra, who have both helped deepen the understanding of this extraordinary pathway for me.

I believe too, one of the many reasons yin yoga is such a healing and settling practise over time, is the beneficial effects on the CSF.

Enjoy your explorations....you are your best teacher...
