I'm new here, and relatively new to yoga. I don't have a routine, so I'd love some advice about how to do that. I have CFS/ME, asthma and sciatica which have necessitated my change of fitness plans (I used to walk, cycle and Zumba)

Hello and warm welcomes! I'm Ciara, who set up this community. Thanks for sharing a bit about your current health and love that you're open to ideas. Such a great start. The foundation of yoga and of life, is breath. Be very kind to yourself in this exploration as with a respiratory challenge, allow yourself to notice what might feel difficult e.g breathing through the one and/or taking the breath into the low belly, might be very challenging at first). As a suggestion, sama vritti (Sanskrit for 'same wave') breathing is a wonderful exploration point. In more recent modern parlance, referred to as coherent or resonant breath. Here is a guided 20 minutes. Let go of any need to conform or 'get it right' at this point. Just see what you notice about your own breathing. Mental, physical and spiritual states are a braid - the breath helps to unite these seemingly paradoxical aspects we have. Most importantly - listen to your body and go at a pace that suits (6/6 might be too much for now). Here is the link to the guided breathing buzzsprout.com/246643/3199480
