A great simple change to make....because change can be incredibly challenging at times. Especially if we haven't learned healthy foundations at a young age. There are so any variables. I always recommend lemon in hot water as a simple and effective introduction.
If there are any citrus issues, just leave out lemon and there you have 'silver tea' as my Mom calls it. Straight up boiled water.
Now this is a great thing to have on rising. And then have breakfast.
I love this as a gentle idea - that we can add a small change in - rather than where the brain's negativity bias can leave us starting at - 'I have to give up everything.'. That is way too overwhelming. And we may then not even get off the starting block.
Practise kindness to yourself. Know you are worthy.
So - starting the day with a zesty cup of yellow sunshine might just change your view. Let it be exactly that. A cup of sunshine. Drink in the sensory aroma. Let yourself slow down. It is a ritual.
Rituals help us mark moments with reverence.
The how to? Made from a boiled kettle, squeeze in circa quarter of a lemon (if organic the lemon piece can go in), then sip away. A lovely flush for bowels on rising! A hydration hit!
Whatever you want to call it. Make it yours.
