Rest when you need to. You are allowed.

After the charged and transformational energies of this year - as the Autumn Equinox approaches, we are 6 months on from the Spring Equinox in March. A useful time to gently reflect on the past 6 months and how they have been for you. In relation to your own personal life and journey.

Remember to slow down. To rest. And not feel guilty about it. Notice your emotional terrain and where you might be feeling stuck. Seek solace in nature. Gaze upon an Autumn bloom. Watch the leaves shedding from the trees and imagine that being you, shedding the past. Becoming lighter.

Autumn has a composting energy. An invitation to start a slow down as we move towards Winter.

May this picture (a picture tells a thousand words...) perfuse a sense of calm and rest into your nervous system. Taken a few years ago by me on a visit to Cornwall. She is the Mud Maid at The Lost Gardens of Heligan. And she sleeps upon the belly of the earth. Resting.

To recover, we need to rest. To shine bright, we need to shore up.

Let yourself acknowledge your current needs, and turn towards actions that will help you. You can do it. Take heart.
