You aren't the only one - Maria spends plenty of time crying :(

I think you will find it's a combination of the drugs, pain, and general depression - a good cry can help a lot. Hopefully you have a shoulder to cry on - if you do - I think that helps a little

Maybe it's also down to the fact that we are expected to have a good time at Christmas - when in reality RA knows no dates or holidays - takes no prisoners and is far from thoughtful even if it is meant to be the festive period.

Hang on in there

Jaqi

Have you spoken to anyone about depression.I know depression is very common in people with RA .Although i don't have it myself there are a lot of folks on here who take anti depressants and find them helpful.Maybe a chat with your GP is in order

Happy new year and take care

Its an uphill struggle but hang on in there you are NOT alone

Hi jaqui, how are you feeling now? I agree with Julie, you really need to chat to someone about it but remember we're here, sometimes it helps just writing it all down, get it out rather than bottle it up....

please take care x

Hi I remember when I was first diagnosed and I tried to carry on doing all the things I used to do, I felt so angry and wanted to be the person I had always been and cried. When I spoke someone at arthritis care they said it was a process we go through we are crying because we are losing who we used to be and it is alot to take on board, I still have a cry now and then but it helps rather than bottling it up inside. It is normal to feel like this but it is good to talk to people who understand, I wish you all the best, take care
