I've come across some incredible people during my 'blog research'. The Spoon Theory is brilliantly simple and enlightening, some of you may well have seen it before but for me it touched a nerve!
Don't know about you but I'm off to count my spoons....

This is a great explanation; I clearly have been taking my spoons for granted so it helps me get a handle on it a bit more. Have you seen other stuff that would help other people understand? With this and LynW's traffic light approach and the other stories I'm reading here, these blogs are really getting the picture across.
I've joined a facebook group recently called RA Chicks: Women with RA. It is a fab little resource - there is somone there who understands straightaway how you're feeling, even if they are thousands of miles away!It also includes articles, photos and links to other sites (that's where the spoon theory came from, they were all talking about borrowing spoons or losing them and I wondered why!)
I've realised recently how lonely I was feeling about having RA and finding others going through similar experiences to me has really been a big boost!
Thanks!
Brilliant explanation and a very moving read.
Hi Jo
I have seen this article several times before and how true it is. It is so difficult to get across to others what it is like living with RA, often we don't really know ourselves! Where indeed do we start? Thank you for posting this up ... it is a really useful resource.
Have you considered using the NRAS forum? It's a great place to be for support and information; lots of folk, lots of knowledge and a wealth of tried and tested experiences! I have made a lot of new friends through the Forum
I love this. Today I am hating myself for using up too many spoons yesterday. I should have known better. But I love that this morning, first thing that popped into my head was "damn, I shouldn't have used those spoons last night."
