I think it's when it's over 20 but I don't know as I was only told mine was negative. Tilda

I'm not too sure on this either but mine was 151 and the rheumy said this was a "strong positive". x

Even a low level can be "positive" if its in combination with other expected findings though.

Hi. Thanks for all the replies. I had a result of anti-CCP +50, RF negative, this was five years ago now and I am feeling much worse now.

high white blood cell count, is another sign of inflammation

mine was 20 so its negative

but my cell count had on me paper will be filed as high fbc was 22.7 in may norm is 4.0 to 11.0

but should be round the 3.5 to 4.0 marker

from what i can see you can still be norm but have some type of inflamation in your joints

Hi my RF was 689, which that seem to be enough for my GP to confirm that i had RA, also because there was RA in my family, But i was told anything over 20, but as i also know that even if you are showing a high RF it doesn't automatically mean you are RA, other test also will be done, examination and X-rays on joints, Hope this helps xx

CCP antibody should be under 6 u/ml. Mine was 205 when checked almost 10 years after original diagnosis. Rheumatoid Factor should be under 12 iu/ml in case you are interested. Mine was negative originally, but was 107 some years later (same time as CCP). CCP is more specific than RF, but as everyone else says, you can be negative for both and still have RA. Hope this helps.
