There's no real answer to your question as one works for some people and not others, so it's down to the individuals body and how well it accepts the drug.

I had this choice and basically as far as I remember, Humira was newer and easier to inject, can't be sure. The choice was left up to me sent home with a stack of leaflets at the time. Humira has worked seamlessly for me.

I do notice enbrel more commonly prescribed in U.K. than in States? Not sure why?

As everyone else suggests, response to either of these drugs is very individual and, without wanting to sound trite, it is matter of 'suck it and see'. When the 2 drugs are compared it is often said that there is very little difference between them in terms of efficacy and side effect profiles and that often it is down to the patient's choice in relation to the frequency of the injections as to which drug is chosen. Enbrel was marketed about 2 years before Humira, I believe, and therefore this may account for its greater use in the UK, because of the clinician's greater experience of using it?

hello I have been on both enbrel and humira and I would say that out of the two i really prefered enbrel. I found that I got a couple more side effects with humira and it hurt more than enbrel did. If I got the chance I would definitely go back to enbrel! You need to find the right one that works for you though
