Check out Plantar fasciitis. Its definitely a classic in spondyloarthritis (the other main form of inflammatory arthritis), but foot pain can be part of RA too.
I don't know if it is due to RA, But my feet have gone completely numb for serial minutes before, when i am sitting down , I've had it a few times now since i have been on MTX, so it could be to do with the meds, But i don't get cramps after wards. do you get the numbness to? Shirley xx
Hi, interesting you say this as I have noticed a massive increase in the amount of cramp I get. I've mainly noticed it since being on MTX so could be due to the meds. I feel this is a different feeling/pain than plantar fasciitis.
It could be p f od ra related cramps or a circulatory pronlem see GP
YEP USED TO GET THIS IN SWIMMING IN THE EARLY STAGES WHEN ME FEET WHERE POINTED.
KEPT WONDERING WHERE IT WAS COMMING FROM THEN IT WOULD GO WHEN I STOPPED.
found rubbing me feet bottoms with e45 helped a bit at night dont ask me why it worked dont know just kept them more supple
This link is about enthesitis, but it shows how plantar fasciitis is tested for on examination (its the bit of the video where they are pressing on the sole of the foot)
