hiya does anyone on here experience a red burning face

Hi there, yes I do, not so much red but burning. Are you on methotrexate ? This like some of the other common drugs used for RA can make you more photo sensitive, so even if the sun is hardly showing I can feel my cheeks burning. Try wearing sun block, or at least a high factor and moisturizing well. A lot of make up has sun block in it but that wasn,t strong enough for me. Recently I treated myself to some 'clinique city block'- factor 40, it seemed expensive but absorbs in well, doesnt show and comes in a tube which is small enough to fit in my handbag so its always with me and has sorted the problem, money well spent! thanks for yr answer. yes i am on mtx and i can just be sitting there and people will say to me your face is really red and i can actually feel the heat from it. my mum keeps saying it looks like i have high blood pressure, so mayb i should get it checked out. x

over the summer i turned a lovely tanned colour which is unuasual for me as i only get freckles dr says itis side effect of medication, beforei was diagnosed with ra my face felt hot i thought it was the change but since going on meds it has gone away

the mtx does causes flushing, mine looks like a lupus rash...
