Wow!! I'm in the magazine..

HI all,

Some of you advised me to try and get my poem put into the NRAS magazine, remember the one I did a few months ago on being "normal"

Well, I sent it to Emma and guess what? it's in the new Autumn Magazine.I got mine this morning! I'm so chuffed!!

I think so too, it's a way of explaining RA I suppose from a personal point of view.

I know everything I said in that poem affects us all one way or another, so sad really.

I read the poem in the NRAS magazine yesterday and thought it was brilliant. I could identify with lots of it. Well done.

I came home to my first NRAS magazine waiting for me and found your poem very moving. Why didn't you put your name to it Mand - it's so good and you are obviously very proud of it - Now you have revealed your stunning looks to us all on this site sure you should put your name to your poem also? Well done anyway!

HI Tilda, I had no problem with them putting my name to it they just never asked, to be honest I was also surprised to see Anon.

Never mind, I know it was me who wrote and so does everyone on here as I put it into a Blogg at first.

Ah so I'm glad to learn you weren't being falsely modest then Mands - you deserve a credit of course - but then I'm an artist and infrequent writer/ poet too so I get a bit fussed about credits when I think they're due. Everyone who knows you on this site knows it's yours as you say and that's the main thing.

I'm good still - feel so lucky and appreciating every minute believe me. Strangely I feel very confident it's on the wain during the day time but at night much less confident because I often wake with joint pains and stiffness still. But hopefully that and the overwhelming tiredness are just an echo and aftermath of some great hormonal /meonopausal splurge that will one day be a distant memory. I got my appointments for gynae and rheumy both in first week of November - on the 2nd anniversary of my mum's death so here's to hoping they will be brief and positive and I'll be all clear on both fronts by thenl. Here's to aspiring to "normal" again for us all.
