Looked this up for you as I thought there must be something down here. If you go by bus/train you will require an Oyster Card far cheaper than paying cash. I always recommend visitors here to purchase these, as you can hop/on easily, make sure you ask the driver to lower the bus down. It's my life line living here.

Enjoy your visit.

The www does not show the whole address it's to the hire of scooters etc for disabled people.

thanks Georje, I must be too tired, I can't seem to find a link with details in the booklet, will look again tomorrow. I have a disabled persons bus pass so can ride free, but would like to mooch around on a scooter too eg tower of london, - they have a few but on 1st come 1st served, no booking.

regards, sandra.

Hi Sandra, try this and then look across the top of screen to Travel,

Hope this helps

Hi Sandra

I'm really glad you asked this question because I have also tried to find the equivilent of shopmobility in London so that I can visit with my sister.

Georje - I don't know whether it is just me being a bit slow, but I can't find any hire stations in the central London tourist locations. Edmonton seems the closest but would still involve having to take the scooter on London Transport to get to the South Bank etc.

I'll follow this post in the hopes that I can pick up some information too.

Hi, these people seem to hire out scooters pretty much everywhere!

mobilityscooteruk.org

This is their phone number 0800 328 1699.

Hope you are successful.
