Hi there

Humira is my third anti-TNF and I've been on it for many years now quite successfully. I actually take it once a week instead of once a fortnight. If your disease is bad enough to qualify for biologics, I hope you will find you will feel a whole lot better quite quickly. I'm sure your consultant will have told you however that these drugs don't work for about 30% of patients and in the unlucky event that you fall into the 'non responder' category, there will be another, different biologic you can move on to.

good luck.

Hi lulul. I was on Humira for 18 months but had tobe taken off it as kept coming out in a rash. Consultant not sure if the two were connected but changed me onto Enbrel which i inject weekly. (Humira was 2 weekly). Not had any more rashes so perhaps there was a connection. Are you on MTX? The combination of both seems to work well. Good luck. LavendarLady

Hi Lulul

welcome to humira, it changed my life within 4 injections in fact I felt more alert and in control of myself after the second. Like Ailsa (if you didn't know that is Ailsa the leader of the gang) I now have Humira every week. The service from Healthcare at home which our hospital uses is very good, they have a nurse come the day your first injection is due to talk you through the procedure, then they deliver every 8 weeks bringing a sharps bin and taking it away if you require the service. I do hope you get the same level of relief as we have. Please let us know.

Best wishes and good luck

Tricia

Hi Lulu,

I am on Humira, Methotrexate, plaquinil combo, bi weekly injections of Humira. Nearly 2 years now and still have to have bloods checked every month, but I'm 90% better, still suffer a bit with tiredness, but inflammation and pain almost nil these days. I would highly rec Humira, no problems injecting simpy pimpy, not straight from fridge tho I hasten to add, leave it out half hour before use.

Don't be worried embrace the opportunity to get biologic, if Humira does'nt work there is plenty of others that you can try, but believe it will work & fast:)

You can private msg me if you have any other specific questions you want to ask.

Gina.
