yep had these on nuckles came on in 3 day then whent down and are still their but not sore.

they should be symetrical ie one on little finger same on other little finger at the nuckles.

mine where on every finger press them and you can see the blood supply red then goes back to white.

see my doc on thursday see what next step is to be diagnosed cos im baffled by all my problems steaming from one knee then everywhere else mine seems aggresive to.

even me ribs hurt somtimes

Hi, Jaqui,

This could quite possibly be RA, but quite honestly, whenever you get something new that is painful and bothersome, it's best to get the GP to have a look.

It could also be drug related.

Very good luck.

Yes I agree with Jenny. My fingers have been very painful in the past with what I think is OA but as a secondary of RA perhaps. Hardish lumps that hurt loads when forming on various finger joints but just calm down and become painless after a few days. But check with your GP. TTx

No I don't know about that at all - definitely ask your doctore Jaqi1 - could be a side efect of your meds. Tilda x

I too suffer from them. They feel like little warts just under the surface. Naughy me I popped a few and that made them more painful, but when left alone theydo go away. I think it is a side effect of the metho. Never had them before I started the drug..

Actually I do get one or two blisters on my face after each MTX dose that sound a bit similar. They don't hurt though but they do itch! And re warts I've got 3 on my hands just now and the practice nurse said that's because they are viral and it's because the MTX is compromising my immunity. TTx

You can get nodules appearing in your tendons but those don't go away. Also, I'm sure I've read about skin nodules as well - maybe even on Wikipaedia? I know it's "only" Wiki but the article there does seem very correct, scientific and authoritative with everything referenced so maybe check there?

I get those bumps in my fingers too and they do feel like warts & they can be very painful for a couple of weeks, then they go away. Sometimes, the palms of my hands show tons of little red spots too, fortunately-they don't itch or anything, and they go away in a few days.

I get lumps on the front of my fingers, quite painful for a few days and then seem to ease off. Have small bumps at the base of both thumbs too that i can feel with my fingers. They never seem to go away and at times can be quite painful.have also noticed a row of small bumps a long my forearm. They seemed to appear after I had had a period of altered sensitivity along my forearm. My GP seemed unconcerned about them.

Think these are what are called nodules and yes they are to do with the RA but double check with your doctor.

Hi, I've only just seen your question. It sounds like these are rheumatoid nodules. I have one on the pad of my index finger, and one on my ring finger. Two smaller ones around the same area have started appearing just the last few days. They do get a bit sore at times as they're in places where I apply regular pressure (I'm using a computer mouse hours a day). That's what my rheum. nurse told me anyway. I did have one on another finger that disappeared on its own and it's thought that was because I changed to a trackball mouse instead of the usual type. I hope that helps, as I said that's what I've been told mine are. x
